Task Analysis

PSE conducts task analyses and develops functional decomposition diagrams of system / user interactions.

Identify high level tasks and related subtasks
Illustrate cognitive processes and sequence of activities
Define the intent and the information requirements of the task. Why is it done? What are the information resource requirements? Where does information need to go?
Evaluate tasks for their susceptibility to human error and develop methods to reduce error rates
Identify activities that are best suited for human performance and that involve hybrid operation between humans and automation
