About Pacific Science & Engineering
Pacific Science & Engineering provides human factors engineering (HFE) and human-system integration (HSI) processes and techniques, human factors principles, and user-centered design to the development of complex civil and military Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems to improve effectiveness and enhance the performance of the user and decision maker. We support general system development efforts as well as all aspects of the DoD Acquisition and System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) processes. Working collaboratively with both system engineers and users, PSE uses state of the art processes, tools, and products to support user-centered design as well as operationally-based test and evaluation. Services for design, development, and testing of systems ensure it accommodates the characteristics of the users who will operate it.
PSE technical services are compliant with system requirements, human factors principles, guidelines, standards, and best practices. Our tasks and products are coordinated with the overall needs of the system engineering process to facilitate the design of systems which are compatible with human capabilities and limitations to improve usability, reduce error, reduce workload, and facilitate decision-making.
