The advanced display concepts we build are derived from theoretical foundations in cognitive science, psychology, and human cognition. Often, they are created as part of a larger project where multiple services are offered. Based on these theoretical underpinnings, conceptual prototypes are designed and developed in order to assist users in performing tasks, following workflows and meeting goals in the relevant environment.
Our display concepts take shape rapidly in simulations and prototypes, enabling iterative expert reviews. Mature concepts are then further developed into functional software for evaluation in operational settings. Our mastery of development tools and environments makes it possible to develop close, consistent collaboration with other technical developers who might adopt and migrate our initial builds into a follow-on working system for use in broader contexts. We have been called to design and build simulations and prototypes to focus on specific user needs in complex environments.
Our focus is integrated and consistent to ensure smooth transition from research to development. We use the best tools and resources for programming based on the constraints of the end user environment and the expectations of our customers. Once the scientific parameters and the user requirements are understood we can begin developing innovative, yet practical, solutions. This advanced development involves multidisciplinary teams including engineering, human factors experts and end users.
[PSE Software Engineer] has very good people skills, team skills and engineering skills. He is flexible, knowledgeable, shares and teaches, patient, uses best practices and produces high quality results. His contributions fit easily into our software infrastructure since he designs them modular, plug and play, using standards, well tested and look fantastic. -- SPAWAR Systems Center - Pacific, Technical Lead
