Contemporary office and computer furniture typically offers a wide range of ergonomic adjustments. However, training on how to make these adjustments is often absent or inadequate. Consequently, users do not fully benefit from the ergonomic features of their furniture.
PSE identified ergonomic guidelines that applied to workstation features and use patterns.
We then prepared a training program for workstation users that described how to adjust computers, desks, chairs, keyboards, footrests, lighting, and monitors.
In addition, we also provided instructions on setting individual work-rest cycles and exercises to minimize repetitive motion injury.
PSE conducted individualized on-site training for each user on adjusting furniture and equipment for maximum comfort and work efficiency, and changing behavior to minimize injuries and improve work-rest cycles.
The training program reduced fatigue and injuries, and increased efficiency and productivity.
